Pepperell Hydro was formally the primary electricity supply for Pepperell Paper Company's paper mill.

History: 

The three hydro turbines were originally build in 1918 and they were purchased by Swift River Operations Company (SRHOCO).

The total amount of funding for the project is $754,348.

General Notes: 

Pepperell Hydro Company LLC rehabilitated an existing hydroelectric power plant at the former Pepperell Paper Mill on the Nashua River in East Pepperell, MA. At the time of application, the facility consisted of one operating turbine/generator set rated at 0.6 MW. The facility now includes two additional refurbished turbine/generator sets to expand facility output by 1.3 MW, plus new control systems and safety equipment.
